Inviting Hope for Wildlife into the classroom is a great way for children ages seven and up to learn about wildlife. The presentations feature a variety of education animals for the students to meet, and the animals are selected from our permanent education residents at Hope for Wildlife. There is no charge for our presentations, however donations of $3 per person would greatly appreciated. Where some classes prefer to donate items instead, Hope for Wildlife is always in need of eggs, gas cards, leafy greens (no iceberg lettuce, please), ground beef, and frozen fruit.
Please note that Hope for Wildlife can only visit schools within a one-hour drive from our facility in Seaforth. This policy is in place for the welfare of our education animals.
We can accommodate around 30 students in a single classroom for a presentation, and we can present to two classrooms simultaneously provided they are on the same floor. Our presentations are appropriate for:
Students in grades 2 and up; or
Children over the age of 7
We are also happy to book classes for field trip on-site presentations, touring our education centre and the education animals in our wildlife gardens. We have a limit of 40 students for on-site tours due to space limitations.

Hope for Wildlife can also provide tailored auditorium presentations to your school, either with or without A/V equipment. These are typically suitable for:
Junior high or high school students; and
University students.
These presentations generally speaking do not involve live animal presentations, although depending on venue a single animal may be part of the talk. The talks focus on what wildlife rehabilitation is, how it relates to environmental sustainability, and all about Hope for Wildlife.

We are able to give presentations or talks at your community group, senior’s home, church group, festivals, and events. The presentations can be tailed to your needs, and can range from formal Powerpoint talks about Hope for Wildlife, wildlife rehabilitation, and environmental conservation to visits with specific education animals for your group to see up close and learn about. There is no charge for our presentations, however Hope for Wildlife is a registered charitable organization and donations to help us care for our patients is greatly appreciated. If you prefer to donate items instead, Hope for Wildlife is always in need of eggs, gas cards, leafy greens (no iceberg lettuce, please), ground beef and frozen fruit.
Our presentations are appropriate for anyone over the age of 7 years, however for presentations to kids groups we may limit the number of attendees to around 30 for the enjoyment of the kids and the safety of the animals.
We are also happy to book your group for a personal on-site tour of our education centre and the education animals in our wildlife gardens.
